Privacy Policy

This policy explains how LAPTOPBITZ LTD, trading online as Deskbit, handles personal data for product browsing, orders, delivery, membership and support. Last updated 21 July 2026.

Who is responsible

LAPTOPBITZ LTD is the data controller for information collected through laptopbitzz.shop. Contact LAPTOPBITZ LTD at support@laptopbitzz.shop, +44 7503594336, or 8 Chisnall Brook Close, Downholland, Lancashire, England, L39 7AB, United Kingdom. Support hours are Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00 Europe/London.

What we collect and where it comes from

We collect information you provide at checkout, through contact and team-order forms, membership checkout, returns correspondence and support messages. We also receive limited transaction, fraud-screening, dispatch and delivery status data from processors.

  • Identity and contact data: name, email, telephone and country.
  • Order and delivery data: selected products, laptop-size selection, quantity, delivery address, fulfilment status and return history.
  • Membership and account data: plan, billing interval, membership status and benefits used.
  • Support and team-order data: message, organisation needs, headcount, expected USD budget and correspondence.
  • Technical and cookie data: IP address, browser, device, consent preferences, security events and page interactions where enabled.
  • Billing data: payment status, transaction reference, card type and last four digits where supplied by the processor; never a complete card number or security code.

Collection sources

Collection sources include information you enter directly at checkout, in the contact or team-order form, in return and support correspondence, and in membership management. We also receive payment status from payment processors, fraud and security signals from infrastructure providers, and dispatch, tracking and delivery events from fulfilment partners and carriers. We do not obtain full card numbers from those sources.

Shipping address and order fulfilment

We collect the shipping address, recipient name, telephone number, ordered SKU, size, quantity and delivery instructions needed for order fulfilment. We provide the minimum necessary recipient and parcel data to fulfilment partners and delivery carriers so they can pick, pack, dispatch, track and deliver an order.

Order and fulfilment data also records payment outcome, dispatch time, carrier and tracking events, delivery status, returns, refunds and support correspondence. We use it to perform the purchase contract, investigate loss or damage, handle returns and meet accounting and consumer-law duties.

Operational fulfilment and enquiry records are deleted or irreversibly de-identified within 24 months after delivery or case closure unless an active dispute, chargeback or legal duty requires longer. Order, payment and tax records required for accounting are retained for up to six years after the relevant financial period, then securely deleted or de-identified.

Why we use it and legal bases

We use order and delivery details to perform a purchase contract; respond to pre-contract questions; meet tax, accounting, fraud-prevention and consumer-law duties; secure the service under legitimate interests; and send marketing only with consent where consent is required. You may withdraw marketing consent without affecting an order.

  • Contract: checkout, payment, fulfilment, delivery, membership, returns and support.
  • Legal obligation: bookkeeping, tax records, lawful requests and consumer protection.
  • Legitimate interests: service security, fraud prevention, stock planning and improving product-size guidance, balanced against your rights.
  • Consent: optional marketing, non-essential analytics cookies and certain follow-up communications.

Who we share it with

We share only what each processor needs. Hosting and infrastructure providers operate the site; Stripe and PayPal process payment credentials and payment status; email providers deliver receipts and replies; delivery carriers receive recipient and address details; Supabase hosts order and lead records; security and analytics providers operate only according to enabled consent. These providers act under their own terms or processing agreements. Deskbit does not receive full card numbers.

  • Payment processors: billing identity, amount, currency and transaction outcome.
  • Delivery and fulfilment partners: recipient, address, telephone, parcel contents and tracking.
  • Hosting, database, email, security and analytics processors: the minimum operational data required.
  • Professional advisers and authorities: only where necessary for legal claims, audit or a binding request.

International transfers

Orders ship worldwide and processors may handle data outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR requires safeguards, we rely on an adequacy decision, approved standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or another lawful transfer mechanism. Contact us for information about applicable safeguards.

How long we keep it and deletion

Checkout leads, contact enquiries and team-order submissions are retained for no longer than 24 months unless an active order, dispute or legal duty requires longer. Order, payment and tax records are generally retained for up to six years after the relevant financial period. Cookie durations are described in the Cookie Policy. At the end of the applicable period, data is securely deleted or irreversibly de-identified unless it must be preserved for a current legal claim.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted transport, restricted server credentials, processor security controls, signed payment webhooks and operational monitoring. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure; we investigate suspected incidents and make notifications where law requires.

UK GDPR, EU GDPR and California rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection; withdraw consent; and complain to a supervisory authority. United Kingdom residents may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. European residents may contact their national data protection authority. California residents may request knowledge, correction or deletion of covered information and may exercise rights without discriminatory treatment. We verify requests before responding.

  • Email your request from the address associated with the order or enquiry.
  • Describe the right you wish to exercise and the relevant order or date range.
  • We may request proportionate information to verify identity and protect other customers.

Do Not Sell or Share

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. If our practices change, we will provide the notices and opt-out controls required by applicable California law before that use begins.

Cookies and analytics

Strictly necessary cookies support security, cart function and privacy choices. Optional analytics or advertising storage is used only after the consent required in your region. Change browser settings or use the cookie control described in our Cookie Policy; blocking necessary storage may prevent checkout or sign-in functions.

Automated decisions and children

The Setup Finder uses answers about place, comfort, size and budget to apply transparent product-matching rules. It does not make a legal or similarly significant decision. The site is not directed to children under 13. People aged 13–17 may use it only with parent or guardian consent, and a guardian should place any order.
